Hello Everyone,

My new knitted moccasin pattern is not quite ready yet. I thought I would have it online by now, but we have had so much company over last weekend and during this week that I didn't have as much time to work on the pattern as I had expected. I also looked after my grandson after school two days this week.

After many adjustments, I did get the first one done, but I am not satisfied with it. I see where I can make improvements that will make it even better. So I have to do that. If a pattern doesn't feel right and I see where I can make it better, well, I just have to do it.

I hope I can spend a lot of time on it this weekend. Once I start working on at it, I hate getting interrupted!

My husband has a recording studio set up in a room in the house and our son and some of his friends are coming to record. I am going to make a big pot of stew for them all and sit back in the living room and quietly work on my pattern. I know this sounds bad, but I hope I don't get any comp

any this weekend. :) UPDATE: Ok, my plans just went out the window. I wrote this newsletter earlier today and had to come back to edit. My husband just informed me that our son told his ex that he would look after their son this weekend. So Husband, Son and Friends are going to be recording all weekend and that means Grammy is going to be looking after Grandson. That means that Grandson is going to be keeping Grammy very busy. He will be saying "Grammy come here, Grammy get me this, Grammy get me that, Grammy help me with this, Grammy play with cars, toys or games with me."

But, I have a back up plan (you always have one of those). Grammy and Grandson are going to go to the store and rent some games for the Game Cube. Grandson is going to play games while Grammy knits. Grandson's mom doesn't allow him to play the games much, but when the Grandkids go to Grammy's house, they always get away with more, don't they? We will take a break and go out for walk, though, if the weather permits.

So, hopefully, I will have the new pattern ready sometime next week. I think that should still give you enough time to knit some up for Christmas gifts. Hang on Olly, I won't let you down. (Olly is a newsletter subscriber who inspired me to design this pattern).

Thank you for your patience. I have included some links below to some great crochet and knitting resources:

FREE Crochet Tips - This is a Free 5 Day Email Mini Course. It includes Crochet Problem Solving Tips for the beginner and the more experienced. This Mini course guides you through those tough crochet problems.

FREE Knitting Tips - If you want to improve your knitting skills or learn to knit, Sarah Beth Wilkinson offers you a free 5 day mini-course that will show you how to begin knitting quickly and easily. It includes everything you need to start knitting today.

Plus, my friend Sarah Beth Wilkinson recently released an Advanced Knitting Course called The Smart Knitter's Complete Guide to Advanced Knitting, and it covers everything you will need to become an expert knitter (and if not, promises to answer your specific questions that aren't covered.)

Cylinda has some great thread crocheted patterns. She has a lot of patterns with holiday themes.
