Hello Everyone, This is a short note to let you know that I am still here. The new subscriptions to this newsletter are pouring in everyday. I am very grateful for the wonderful response. Thank you for signing up! I was going to archive each newsletter edition on my website, but I found out that GetResponse, my service provider for the newsletter, also archives them at (They are now archived here.) I will probably archive them myself later, either on my site or in a blog. I wanted to post that archive link for any new subscribers. Even though this is only the third newsletter, there was a great tip in the last one about how to make yarn made slippers and socks non-skid. I am working on designing a new pattern. I usually do a few new patterns each winter, however, last winter I guess I ran dry on ideas. My new pattern was inspired by a website visitor who liked my Moccasin style crocheted slippers at http://www.crochetandknitting.com/slippers.htm She tried to do them in a chunky yarn, but they were much too big as the pattern was designed in worsted weight. So I gave her some tips on how to adjust the pattern, then thought it would be a great idea to design a new one using two strands of worsted weight. Plus, I realized that the original pattern is a difficult one. So I am trying to make this new pattern very easy. With the two strands of yarn, it will work up fast and create a tougher sole that shouldn't wear out as quickly. I am still working on the new design. I got distracted somewhat when I bought a new digital camera. My old camera just wouldn't do the job anymore and I wanted to be able to take nice, clear pictures of my designs. So I am having so much fun learning how to use the new one. I guess I have just added a new hobby to my list - photography. Anyway, I am going to get back to working on the new moccasin slippers pattern today, then try to get it typed up and photographed within a few days. It will be added to my Free Patterns page at http://www.crochetandknitting.com/patterns.htm I'll let you know when it's ready. Happy Thanksgiving to all our U.S. friends. I hope you have a great day tomorrow. And to everyone else, I hope you have a great day, too!
Sincerely,
